Do you feel that Malaysia is a special place to live in? So what actually makes Malaysia so special? I tell you, its because of the 'special' things such as culture, people and etc that makes Malaysia such a nice place to live in.

This time, Samsung is now launching a new campaign to gather all the Malaysians in the online world. Their motive is to create a Galaxy Wonderland which portrays the uniqueness of Malaysia. With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Samsung plan to use this phone to help Yuna to shoot another music video.

Now here's the most interesting part. You can help contribute your ideas on what makes Malaysia a special place by submitting your ideas to the online portal. Then Yuna will be using your ideas and put it into her music. Isn't that cool? So are you gonna contribute your ideas?

Another year passed...

So fast another year has passed. I'm now 24 years old and the dragon is about to end. Today I'm just glad that for the 1st time in my life my friends and colleague would treat me to lunch. Usually my friends will just ignore my birthday because it falls on December and never had the chance to celebrate it. There's only once where I get to celebrate it with my coursemates but that was to celebrate with a few other December babies. So this time its just specially for me. Felt quite touched and happy because we only just know for about max 2 months. I also got some personal wishes from my HQ colleagues where I dont know how did they get the info on my birthday today.

As for my birthday wish this year I just hope that my life wont be too bumpy ahead and I'll be able to achieve what I want. :D

My own place to express myself...

I guess this is the only place that I could let out all my stress, disappointment and anger here and not receive complaints from others since this is my own blogspot. Do not continue reading if you do not like to see me complaining or ranting...

Lately I've just received so many complaints about my photo prints... The 1st time I send my files to the print vendor he printed out a darker version of it... So I end up complaining to him and later I found out is my editing problem with a non calibrated screen... So now the next time I send him another set of photos to print he set a special printing profile for me and end up the colours became worst and now there is a red colour cast...

I really dont know how to answer my clients bout this as the vendor does not want to take responsibility of the print quality and now all the blame fall on me... I want to do another reprint but its very costly... But I guess if reprint could save my reputatiton I'll be glad to do it... but what if that's still not good enough and the client still decides to say I'm lousy... I think there goes my career as a professional photographer already... Sigh...

Sorry for the messy post... Just wanted to type out what is on my mind and did not rearrange it nicely... For those who take the time to read this post really appreciate it...

Am I suit for this??

Recently I want to start up my own studio and a business in photography. The genre that I'm gonna focus on is wedding, portrait and event photography. So now I decided to do freelance 1st as I dont have enough capital to start it on my own. For wedding photography I've actually decided to be like those wedding studio to offer a whole set of package to my clients including photography, video, gown rental and make up. I and my teammates would be handling the photography and video part. the rest will be sub out to other professionals to do as we dont really know a thing about those.

So for the wedding gown part I was fortunate enough to collaborate with a person starting her business in selling rental gown. As I told her my idea of doing a rental business she agreed. Her business shop name is called 'Yes I Do'. So far everything was quite smooth except that during the 1st time when she loan me the gown for my pre wedding portfolio, my model accidentally dirtied her gown and I did not notice it on the spot and returned the gown to the owner. Although the owner said it was ok and asked me to be more careful next time, I knew it was my fault for not taking care of it and clean it up for her.

Now is the 2nd time I loan her gown again and this time she loaned me 4 gowns. I did not manage to do a profile shoot for all the gown and only managed to shoot 2. And even for those 2 I somehow forgotten to shoot the back profile of the gown. Haiz. This is due to my poor time management and also my own body stamina. Shoot half way through then feel tired and not able to focus anymore. I'm just so weak.

Now to start ranting. The day I took the gown back to my house and open up the bag containing the gowns to have a look, the zip spoiled and in the end I did not manage to close the bag. i think it was already a sign to me that things wont be going to be smooth. But if I share this thinking out I think many will condemn me for being so negative. Ok next on, I knew this problem might happen on the second bag so I carefully open it and manage to avoid the same problem. Although I manage to avoid this problem but I kind forgotten to warn the model who is coming to try out the gown about this and in the end she too might have accidentally spoiled the zip as after she left I found out the zip was spoiled too.

As for today, I was too tired in the end so I decided to ask one of the photographer to help me collect the gown from the model. I thought everything would be ok until when I reached home and found out the lace tying at the back of the gown was missing. I should have checked the gown at the event place but I did not. I would not want to point any fingers but the problem kinda occurred on the same model (if u all get what I mean). I guessed maybe my luck was gone from the beginning of this plan. Now I dont know how am I going to explain to the gown owner. I guessed she will sure blame me and would not want to collaborate with me anymore as this is the second time I kinda 'destroyed' her gown. So should I continue with my idea of doing the gown rental or should I just give up??? Is this a sign for me from GOD???

Early September post...

Time do really fly very fast and I finally got my 1st half month pay. I noticed that my pay is really not enough to fulfil my dreams. After deducting my expenditures, there's only like RM200+ balance. I wonder how long I need to save up so that I could open my own studio and also buy a professional video camera. I wanted to do more freelance work as a photographer but I don't really have the time because I have to work full day on a Saturday every week!!!

There's just so many things that I would want to do and buy but it seems that the more I want I surely cant get it. I really need to be much more organised so that I can achieve my target easily. Before this I wanted more time so that I could plan all of it. But now when I have the time the things that I had in mind suddenly just went blank.

Yesterday I just had my 1st Register of Marriage(ROM) shoot. My gf's sister finally invited and gave me a chance to shoot her big day. I noticed some problems with my shoot which are I have to check my picture after each shoot to avoid any person who accidentally blinked and close their eyes in the picture. I should have took a few same shots of the same pose. Besides that I really have to work better on the lighting and poses. Sometimes I really dont have any idea how to pose the couples and in the end they are just doing the same pose all over again.

NOTE TO SELF: Really need lots of practice in photography on my own without any guidance from others.

After such a long time using my camera. I think its time to let it go and better owners to own it. Anyone looking for a semi pro DSLR? This is quite a good camera if you want to try a professional body. Although the body of the camera is quite an old model but still it was able to produce quite good photos. All of the photos you've seen before posted by me are from this camera. I've learnt a lot through this camera but as I'm progressing forward, I'm upgrading to a higher level camera and would love to fund for the new one.

I know the 1st thing people would be interested to know is the price. So for the A700 body I'll be selling for RM1800. I'm selling it at a higher price because I just sent the camera for repair and changed the mirror box, main board and the slider. But the price is open to negotiation. The body is around 3 years old already. The package include everything that came in the box 1 x Body, 1 x Ori Battery, 1 x Ori Charger, 1 x USB Cable, 1 x Body Cap, 1 x SONY Shoulder Strap, 1 x LCD Cover, 1 x Box, 1 x Manual and NO Memory Card. Appearance of the camera I would give it an 8.5/10 as I like to keep my things properly. So below is the photos of my camera. Do have a view.

The next thing I'm selling is my Sigma 18-200mm travel lens. This lens has been attach to the A700 body 80% of the time. Its a very versatile lens as you can use it from wide angle to tele. the package include 1 x Lens, 1 x UV filter (on the lens since 1st day) and 1 x ori hood. Appearance I would rate it at 8/10 ( some wear and tear on the outer focus rubber and the hood). The selling price for this lens would be RM900 firm. Below are the pictures of my lens.

Almost a new life

My final days in UPM is coming very soon already. Now I just need to finish up my thesis and get the approval of my examiners. I'm now actually quite worried that they still want me to do more changes to my thesis but I actually don't have any idea on how to improve it any more. Just only can pray to GOD so that everything can go smoothly and I wont be so stress any more.

Since my thesis is not ready yet, so what I actually planned cant go as smooth as I wanted. I just keep worrying about my thesis. How can I reduce my stress leh? Sigh. This is really not a good sign as stress is bad for me and my SLE is currently not under control. I just wonder will my SLE be under control when I enter the working world? I cant be taking so many sick leave when I start work right? It will give a very bad impression to my employer that I'm so incompetent.
On 1st July I'm gonna  launch my photography business which is a partnership with 2 of my friends. So do stay tuned for it on facebook ya.

super busy...

Its been quite some time since I made a blog post. This past few weeks have been a really busy week for me especially last week and this week. Last week I had to rush to submit my first thesis draft to my supervisor and this week has been up few nights just to rush the Internet Computing project. My FYP thesis did till very badly as I do not have much result to be discussed as my algorithm is not out yet. Hopefully by this week the whole thing would be ready and at least I have some bad results to be shown. If by this week still I cant manage to do it then its really dooms time for me le. Kinda scared and worried ne. Will God help me in this difficult task? We will see bout it.

I really really dislike last minute work. Is not that I do not want to do the work, I just need someone to start developing the code with me. I'm really really a bad self learner. If I do things alone, my work will never get completed. I'm more of a team player. I need the others to cover up for my many weaknesses. I can say that my internet computing project team really lack of cooperation, commitment, planning and also communication. The group leader really must do a better job in dividing the task or else the group members will feel unsatisfied and start to rebel. Is not that I don't want to do the work but at least distribute some work to other group members to do ma. All also we have to handle, then how will it be called group work? I don't mind them come asking me how the code or the thing function. They at least have to take the initiative to come and ask me la. I already don't mind them waking me up last minute to come and ask me. What more can you ask for? I need my rest as my body could not take the stress. That is why I cant do last minute work. I planned ahead to avoid all this trouble.

Charity

How often do you see me doing charity? If you know me well I guess you will already know that I hardly have enough money for myself so I seldom do charity such as donating money. But somehow I got a call from above to attend a charity drive event which is organised by the Ace Youth. The event name is actually called Ace Youth /TGF : Guinness World Record Breaking Charity Event. The theme of this event is Bolly for Charity.

The country / places that was taking part in ihis event at the same time to break this World Meaningful Charity Record include:

1. Malaysia 
2. New Zealand
3. Captown
4. Edinburgh ( a prison ) 
5. Katmandu
6. London
7. Manipal India

BollyforCharity is actually a Guinness World Record Breaking attempt for the largest multi-site Bollywood dance event. They collected a fee of RM10 from each participant of the event in hope to contribute towards their RM10,000 target. I did not know in the end they manage to hit their target or not. Sorry that I did not have much pictures of the event as I left early due to the small crowd. Was not able get myself into the event. If only the crowd was larger it should be quite an interesting event. Oh well at least I played my part in doing charity. Thats all from me. Ciaoz.

skills are important

Lately I've noticed that the skills I've learned in my life is not really adequate. Actually most of the skills I've learnt in theory but after days goes by without brushing them up, 50% of it has been gone. The engineering skills which I learnt in my uni is the main example. What I've learnt during my semester 1 50% of it I've forgotten it as I seldom use it. Now I'm struggling trying to recall what have I learnt. BUT due to busy schedules where can I find time to brush up all the skills I learnt leh?

So now if I really want to venture into the photography industry I guess I have to keep brushing up my photography skills from time to time and also to keep my passion alive and burning. What I've learnt from my sifu Wesley Wong 70% I still can remember but the other 30% kinda just get stuck in my brain and unable to retrieve it back so easily. Like today during the photoshoot session, I wanted to apply what I've learnt for the pass few years but was unable to do it easily. First had some problems with the equipments, then cant really get the effect that I wanted. In the end I just gave up trying as I had to be fair to other participants who pay and joined the event.

I can say that the 1st paid photoshoot event organised by Simple Photography Guide is quite a success but with a few major improvements needed. The main one is to scout the area way before hand. Do not do scouting on the day of the event even if its a few hours before the photoshoot. You might never know what will pop up suddenly like model will arrive late and etc. So here are just some photos of the photoshoot event.

360 @ The Pool

I was gladly invited by Don Chan to an event which I never attended before which is to hang out with 9 other successful bloggers and also enjoy the view of models in bikinis... Yes you saw it right... BIKINIS!!! This event was brought by 360 Celcius... Its actually an event to promote their magazine and they are working together with Kyla Ruiz Brazilian bikinis... things get heated up...

So fast time flies. Its already week 9 of my final semester in UPM. Project deadlines are coming nearer and nearer and yet many of it is still not done especially my Final Year Project on Genetic Algorithm. Its really really tough implementing the GA on hardware as the random function is not really applicable in hardware. I have to come up with something so that the random functions will work in my GA. Really headache la. I need more time to think as my brain is not as efficient as others. I can't handle much stress anymore. I don't want to have another infection like last time. Will GOD send someone to help me out so that I could finish my project in time and graduate? Will my supervisor fail me if I cant produce it out? Really really afraid to face the future. If only I can control time, how nice it will be.

On another note, I do hope my group members could give full cooperation to me so that things could run smoothly. Just like my photography team, they are willing to give ideas feedback and work as a team in order to achieve something. Now just balance the MOMENTRAIL logo then everything should be able to be officially launch already. Hopefully everything will go smoothly.

Lately I've also been getting a few request from girls wanting to be models. I would surely glad to accept them to be my model but as my budget is really running really really low and I'm actually quite busy with my uni coursework, I might not be able to help all the models out there. Have to apologise 1st for this. Do hope to get the opportunity to shoot more models in the future(hoping to get paid next time).Here's just 1 edited photo taken last saturday. weekends

Most people use their weekends to rest up and charge their bodies after a long week. Too bad it is not the case for me now. Tomorrow I need to submit my Innovate report and my group members and I (basically is my group member working on it now as I'm away for the time being) found out a lot of problem for my part. My part of the competition is actually still under construction (for almost more than half a year already).I cant seem to get the proper algorithm working on the hardware. Maybe I'm just not as smart as my group mate or I just really really suck at it. Don't know I will be able to graduate on time or not. Must not put so much stress on myself or else I'll get another infection according to what the doctor says.

Not only my Final Year Project for the Genetic Algorithm is not completed, my internet computing project also very slow progress. More Engineering society assignments are being thrown at us, more projects will be given to us by Testing and Analog lecturer. How can need to accomplish so much in such short time? Sigh.... Almost giving up d.

PC Fair April 2012

Just back from the PC fair... Seems like its not as attractive as it used to be... Maybe is because this time I dont have any budget to spend on... Or maybe its just because the companies are cutting down on their budget for hiring models to attract customers... Anyway here are just some of the girls that I met during the 2 hours in the fair...
