So after eating at Uncle Keong's Delicacies, we head off to Eleven Bistro near Jonker Street for dinner at 6pm. Direct eat again after just eating. If life is that nice everyday, I think I'll be fat in no time. :D Hit the jump to see what I've tasted at Eleven Bistro.
Eleven Bistro actually is founded by the son of Uncle Keong. So both their shops are actually related. This time I guess I'll just show more on pictures and just some brief description of it. So here goes:
This is my friend Boon Hoaw and his partner...
This is the interior of the 2nd floor. Very nice and quite romantic place to eat.
The leng luis at my table...
First dish don't know call what. Its just normal very hot sambal. We were actually served Portuguese food for our dinner.
Mee goreng. By just seeing it, it does not look hot. Once you've eaten it then you'll taste the spicyness
This sambal prawn is nice. But beware it is spicy.
Fried sotong/ squid. Taste quite normal as the ones outside.
Kangkung Belacan.
Their speciality dish. Gula Melaka Chicken wing. A must try dish. Its sweet and nice and tasty. My girl love it so much till she keep asking the boss to bring more come. Of cause once this dish is finished there is no more extra free ones. :)
This dish is somewhat like chicken rendang. The chicken meat is cooked till quite soft and tender. Even those rough parts of the meat such as breast meat taste quite as nice as drumstick meat.
Portuguese grill fish. I personally don't quite like it as they is the fresh water fish taste. Even the hot sauce can't really cover it up.
This is suppose to dip into the grill fish sauce and eat together. Somehow the only thing that this cracker manage to suck from the sauce is the oil of the sauce. LOL
Crabby. Cooked in a spicy gravy too. Did not really eat this as I did not want to dirty my hand eating it and I want to continue snapping pictures with my camera. Lazy to wash my hands clean clean. See how lazy I am. Haha... So in the end my 'wife' cracked a claw for me to eat. How nice is she. Love her so much.
The aftermath of the dinner... A messy table... Ate till so so full and had difficulty leaving the shop. :) Overall I enjoyed the food. Those who love spicy food should really try out the Portuguese food found at Eleven Bistro. Its really really nice except for some dish which does not suit me. So thats all for this post. Stay tuned for the next one next week.
